Green Tactics: No More Excuses

Shoppers at The Glades in Bromley, UK, can no longer claim ignorance as a defence for their environmental sins. The shopping centre put together Let’s Work Together, a green travel plan that contains all the information customers need to get around town in whichever eco-friendly way they choose, be it via bus, train, bicycle, carpool or on foot.
In addition to details on public transit schedules and routes, The Glade also provides health and transport trivia, as well as a directory of useful contacts and Websites, including links to sites focused on climate chance and recycling.
The Glades produced Let’s Work Together with support from the London European Partnership for Transport (LEPT, www.LEPT-EU.org), Vipre (www.Vipre.co.uk), Transport for London (www.TFL.gov.uk), CEN (www.CEN.org.uk), Capital Shopping Centres, ASTUTE Project (Advancing Sustainable Transport in Urban Areas to Promote Energy Efficiency, www.Bromley.gov.uk) and Intelligent Energy Europe (www.EC.Europa.eu/energy/intelligent).
