Bag a Bargain
http://www.HighChelmerShopping.co.uk/auction.html

High Chelmer Shopping Centre in Essex, UK, has teamed up with its tenants and local businesses to raise funds for the Farleigh Hospice.
Every month, the High Chelmer Website presents one item that the centre’s partners have donated and on which shoppers can bid.
All bids are administered on the site weekdays, from 9am until 5.30pm, with the exception of bank holidays, with bids received outside of these business hours being processed on the following day.
High Chelmer says in the event of identical bids being places, the centre will award to the auction item to the customer who placed the bid first.
The mission of the Farleigh Hospice is to care for the lives of individuals and their families who have been touched by cancer or other life limiting illnesses.

Montreal Exposed

Canada’s Montreal Eaton Centre has turned its Atrium into a cultural museum this spring with an exhibit of giant photographs that represent the heart of the city.
Unveiled on 18th April, the installation offers visitors a glimpse of striking places of Montreal through the works of a dozen local photographers, while the DistrictMontreal.com mini-site gives shoppers a chance to put forth their own vision of the city and contribute to what the centre calls the biggest collective image of Montreal to be shared with visitors online and in the centre.
Participants can upload their photograph along with details on where the shot was taken, what its theme is and which feelings or concept it is intended to evoke.
